BOGE Desiccant Air Dryers
BOGE Compressed Air Systems is a world-renowned producer of compressed air treatment products. They manufacture solution-oriented compressed air equipment designed to meet the needs of real industrial business applications.
Their comprehensive range of innovative desiccant dryers offers energy efficiency, adaptability and, of course, high-quality dry compressed air.
Desiccant air dryers use two desiccant bead-filled towers to absorb the water vapor out of compressed air, producing clean, dry air for industrial applications. The system runs the air alternately through the desiccant towers, switching from one to the other when the beads become saturated.
These dryers produce an uninterrupted stream of dry, compressed air by simultaneously drying air in one tower and regenerating saturated desiccant in the other.
Heatless, heated, blower purge and high-pressure desiccant air dryers operate by this basic principle but differ in how they regenerate the saturated desiccant beads.
Heatless Desiccant Air Dryers
BOGE heatless desiccant dryers are designed to focus completely on lowering energy consumption and significantly reducing pressure drops in your compressed air system. In these dryers, desiccant beads are regenerated by circulating dry compressed purge air to remove moisture from the beads.
Heatless desiccant dryers are the simplest type of desiccant dryers. They are best suited for applications that require smaller quantities of compressed air.
HDL and HDL PLUS
BOGE HDL and HDL PLUS heatless desiccant dryers are available in 15 models, offering a wide range of capabilities from 4 to 5,000 SCFM and 60 to 7,250 PSIG.
These dryers offer inline integration and BEKOMAT® condensate drains to safely and efficiently dry your compressed air. The standard adjustable purge valve gives you the ability to easily optimize your parameters to meet your specifications, and the front-mount gauges let you read your current parameters with a quick glance.
HDL and HDL PLUS dryers operate using an advanced controller with selectable cycles specially designed to maximize functionality and energy-efficiency.
BOGE heatless desiccant dryers are designed with a narrower-than-average frame width, making them a more compact option for small spaces.
Heated Desiccant Dryers
Heated desiccant dryers regenerate desiccant beads by using a heater and dry purge air to remove moisture. These dryers provide a higher flow of product air because of the reduced amount of purge air needed for desiccant drying.
HRD
When combined with high-end desiccants, HRD heat-generated desiccant air dryers provide maximum process reliability, extended desiccant life, stable dew points and ultra-low differential pressures. The highly configurable design allows you to use HRD dryers in almost any application where you require clean, dry compressed air.
BOGE’s HRD series features 14 models with capacities from 70 to 4,050 SCFM, so you can find the perfect system to provide the dry air you need.
Blower Purge Desiccant Dryers
Blower purge desiccant dryers also employ heaters to regenerate saturated desiccant beads, but they don’t require any dry compressed purge air. Instead, these systems use ambient air blown over the heater to remove moisture from the desiccant beads to regenerate them.
These dryers provide the greatest amounts of product air because no purge air is withheld for regeneration.
HBP
HBP heated blower purge desiccant dryers give you everything you need to supply your facility with dry compressed air. BOGE uses only the best materials and components to create reliable, efficient HBP air dryer systems that will provide a quick return on your investment
With 11 models ranging from 260 to 4,050 SCFM, the HBP line of blower-operated desiccant air dryers is sure to have the perfect dryer for your operation.
Industrial Applications of Desiccant Dryers
BOGE desiccant air dryers provide energy-efficient, dry compressed air ideal for many applications across a range of industries. Their versatility and simplistic designs allow them to fit right into any compressed air system for optimal productivity.
While heatless systems are better for applications with lower demands, all three types of desiccant dryers are commonly used in the following applications:
- Food and beverage processing
- Pharmaceutical production
- Pneumatic control system and tools operation
- Automotive manufacturing
- Fabric production
